Acceptable Use Policy

VocaScript is an AI-powered transcription tool designed to help creators, professionals, and individuals convert audio and video they own or have rights to into text. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may and may not do with our service.

Permitted Uses

You may use VocaScript to transcribe:

• Audio and video files you have created or recorded yourself
• Your own podcast episodes, lectures, presentations, and meetings
• Content you have uploaded to platforms (your own YouTube, TikTok, Instagram uploads, etc.)
• Publicly available content where transcription is permitted by the platform's terms of service
• Content you have obtained a license or explicit permission to transcribe
• Public domain content
• Content for accessibility purposes where you are the rights-holder or have authorization

Prohibited Uses

You may not use VocaScript to:

• Transcribe content that you do not own or have rights to transcribe
• Circumvent paywalls, DRM protections, or access controls on any platform
• Access subscriber-only or members-only content that you have not legitimately subscribed to
• Download, rip, or distribute copyrighted content without authorization
• Process content from platforms whose terms of service explicitly prohibit third-party transcription
• Transcribe private communications you are not a party to
• Process content that is illegal, including but not limited to CSAM or content that violates applicable law
• Scrape, bulk-process, or systematically extract content from any platform
• Redistribute or commercially exploit transcriptions of content you do not own

Your Responsibility

By using VocaScript, you represent and warrant that you have the legal right to transcribe any content you submit. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of our service complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and the terms of service of any platform from which content originates.

Browser Extension

Our browser extension is provided as a convenience tool to help you transcribe content from your own accounts. It uses your existing browser session to access content you are already authorized to view. The extension does not bypass, circumvent, or override any access controls. You remain responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content processed through the extension.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP, with or without notice. Violations may result in:

• Immediate account suspension or termination
• Forfeiture of any remaining subscription credits
• Reporting to appropriate authorities where required by law

Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
